Baby Room Reveal with Hayley from @sweetlittlestory

This week we are excited to reveal South Australian Stylist and now mum-to-four, Hayley Berlingeri’s latest baby nursery for her daughter Giulietta. Hayley drew inspiration from current furniture trends across the board, rather than focussing on what everyone is doing in their nursery specifically; “this year it’s all about cream boucle, warm teak tones and cosy textures”.

By stepping away from the baby-room Pinterest boards, you can create a really unique, on-trend nursery that isn’t a cookie cutter of what everyone else is doing for their littles. This means you can have fun designing and styling different rooms as you have more children.

In fact, no two-baby nurseries were the same for Hayley, “they’ve all been completely different!” she enthused.

“Valentina had a vintage, Queen Anne style nursery with soft greys and dusky pinks, pretty hydrangeas, and dollies galore!”

“Romeo’s nursery was all monochrome with a bold black and white contrast and some oak timber tones to warm it all up.”

“Then poor Sonny never got a dedicated nursery (typical life of a third child! Haha) as we were building at the time, so he lived in our tiny walk in wardrobe for the first eight months of his life!”

“Giulietta’s nursery is by far my favourite. It’s got such a serene, yet warm feel with all the cosy textures and tones.

We had to chat nursery must haves with Hayley, which ended up being a tie between the cot and a good quality nursery chair.

Well, obviously you need a cot, that goes without saying!”

“I fell head over heels for Giulietta’s Zali Teak Cot from Sacred Bundle with its pretty arches and curved feet.”

When it comes to choosing a nursery chair, “something super soft, cosy and comfy” is a must. After all, “you spend half your night in it, feeding, shushing and rocking!”

“Our Cloud Rocker and Ottoman from Love Baby Cot is just divine!”
