Matilda's Room Reveal with @styledbyjemma

If there’s anyone who knows how to sprinkle a little magic into a room makeover, it’s Jemma from Styled by Jemma. As a creative soul and mom to Matilda (7) and Theo (4), she has an incredible knack for transforming ordinary spaces into vibrant, functional havens that grow with her kids. After collaborating on Theo’s room last year, we couldn’t wait to dive into another exciting project—this time, for Matilda’s big room reveal.

Jemma approached Matilda’s room with a clear goal: to create a space that’s as lively and colorful as it is adaptable. She chose a palette of bold-toned pastels—lilac, mint green, yellow, and pink—that immediately brightened up the room and brought in a bunch of cheerful vibes.

One of the room’s coolest features was the extensive desk setup stretching across two walls. It’s not just any desk, though—it’s a playground for creativity, a spot for homework, and a storage haven all rolled into one. And that nifty magnetic board above the desk? Perfect for Matilda to hang up photos and notes, making the space truly hers.

Jemma decked out the room with bedding from Kip&Co's latest "Toasty" collection, which is as vibrant and fun as it sounds. It’s amazing how these bold prints can totally transform the feel of a room—turning it into a cozy nest where Matilda can cuddle up in style.

She didn’t stop there, though. The walls got a playful makeover with fun Peachy Graffiti patterned wallpaper selected from Olive Et Oriel and chic half-painted color block walls that add just the right amount of oomph. The custom wave bedhead, along with the flowy designs on the wall mirror and ceramic scallop pendant light, brought a serene, dreamy feel to the whole setup, tying everything beautifully together.

Grounding all these fabulous elements is the stunning Sage Grid rug from Hunter and Nomad, which pulls the whole design together and makes the room just pop! Jemma’s got this gift of mixing functional elements with stylish decor, making every piece in the room not only look good but also serve a purpose.

We just love how Jemma thought through every detail, like adding a cozy lounger that’s become the prime spot for Matilda to curl up with her favorite books. Another thoughtful addition is the Sparkle Neon LED Light, which doubles as a stylish decor piece and a soothing night light.
